GiBBS Computational Laboratory
GiBBS computational laboratory is located at Institute for Genetics (IGUN), National University of Colombia (UN).
Our lab consists of various desktop machines, an intermediate capacity server (100GB RAM, 27 CPU cores) and a hyper convergent DELL VRTX cluster solution with the following overall characteristics:
- Four power Edge M640 blade servers.
- RAM: 2.8 TB
- Storage: 120 TB
- 280 CPU cores Xeon Gold 2.6 GhZ
Deep level cluster configuration is supported by engineer Javier Duque. General administrative tasks are performed by Andrés Pinzón ampinzonv@unal.edu.co
Access to Cluster Servers
All students and researchers associated to the Institute for Genetics (IGUN) have granted access to our computational platform, external users will be evaluated in a case by case basis.
Nevertheles both users have to fullfill a general form and agree to our ACCESS POLICY before accesing the platform.
You may need to configure a VPN
Please also note that if you want to establish a connection to our servers from outside the UN campus it is necessary to configure a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Please refer to the following document in order to configure your VPN.
